Video surveillance – Instructions for Data Processing

In order to meet the obligations to deliver information according to Art. 13 of the Datenschutz-Grundverordnung (DSGVO) (General Data Protection Regulation) with regard to our video control system, we are happy to deliver you our information on data protection:

Why do we process your data?

The purpose of video surveillance is to exercise our property rights, the prosecution of criminal acts as well as the control of access authorization. Video surveillance is effected on the basis of § 28 Section 1 BbgDSG (Data Privacy Act of the Federal State of Brandenburg).

Duration of storage/ criteria for the determination of duration

The video data is stored for a maximum duration of 72 hours. After this period has elapsed, the data stored is deleted.

Receiver(s) of the data

Any forwarding of video records is only allowed for the purposes of prosecution and investigation carried out by the police, the department of public prosecution or by courts.

Your rights as „persons concerned“

You are entitled to be delivered information on person-related data processed
by us.
In addition, you have the right to demand correction, deletion or restrictions of processing, provided that you are entitled to this legally.
Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your data within the scope of legal regulations. The same holds good for the transferability of data.
If you want to exercise one of these rights, you are requested to contact us or our data protection commissioner.

Right to complain

Regardless of any other administrative or legal remedy, you have the right to file a complaint with a regulating authority when you are of the opinion that the processing of your person-related data violate the provisions of the DSGVO. You can enforce your right to complain with any regulating authority in the member state of your residence, your workplace or the place of the presumptive violation of your right.
