Orangery in the New Garden – Greenhouses

In the southern section of the New Garden, 250 meters away from the Marble Palace, lies the Orangery that was built according to the designs of Carl Gotthard Langhans from 1791–1793. The two greenhouses, which serve to house precious exotic plants during the winter, can be booked from June to September for various events.

What you need to know:

The lower windows must remain closed at all times.

Catering is permitted in both greenhouses, but not in the Palm Hall.

Equipment

Toilets with limited disabled access are located 50 metres away in the restoration courtyard.

The lower windows of the plant halls may not be opened.

The caterer is freely selectable. No kitchen or preparation rooms are available. Catering is only permitted in the Plant Halls, not in the Palm Hall.

Cultural institutions with state support, as well as the states of Berlin and Brandenburg receive special conditions.

Supervision
Cleaning

The organizer is in charge to enter a liability insurance for events (short-term risks). For this a proof must be provided to the foundation before the event takes place.

Additionally supervision and cleaning will be charged. The order for the cleaning or supervision will be initiated by the foundation. The lessee will be charged through the company “Fridericus Servicegesellschaft der Preußischen Schlösser und Gärten mbH.”
