Caputh House – Palace Courtyard
This early Baroque palace, whose original façade design has remained intact, belonged to Dorothea, the second wife of Great Elector Frederick William of Brandenburg.
Apart from the splendidly decorated rooms with elaborate stuccowork, ceiling frescoes and luxurious furniture, the Tile Room is also particularly worth seeing. The palace also has a small landscape garden laid out according to a design by Peter Joseph Lenné. The Palace Courtyard is on the south side and is bounded by the extended west wing and Caputh Palace’s former service buildings. The courtyard is the perfect setting for lectures, concerts, readings and summer parties.
