Babelsberg Park – Gerichtslaube
The picturesque “Gerichtslaube” or Courthouse Arcade on Lennéhöhe in Babelsberg Park was constructed from parts of the old Berlin town hall that was built in the 13th century. It was dismantled in 1860, and presented by the townspeople of Berlin to Emperor William I, who had a fondness for the Middle Ages. This sublime red brick building, which can be seen for miles around, is ideal for exploring Potsdam’s cultural landscape. The “Gerichtslaube” is an unusual venue in a prominent location, which lends itself to making smaller receptions or wedding ceremonies simply unforgettable.
