Babelsberg Park, View from the Glienicke Bridge across the Deep Lake to the Babelsberg Palace

Park tours for groups

The Park Sanssouci, with the famous palace of Frederick the Great, is a true gem in Potsdam. This refuge not only offers a wide view over the city but also houses a unique park with terraces and a magnificent fountain in the center. For over 250 years, the highest garden art and the masterpieces of outstanding architects and sculptors have merged here into an impressive work of art. The site was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990.

Not far away is the Babelsberg Landscape Park, which also offers breathtaking views. Located on the picturesque banks of the Havel River, the park provides spectacular views of the Glienicke Bridge and the Glienicke Villa. Commissioned by Prince Wilhelm and Augusta in 1833, the park owes its design to the renowned garden artists Peter Joseph Lenné and Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau. The neo-Gothic palaces complex is surrounded by richly adorned garden terraces, while the Pleasureground with ornamental shrubs, flower gardens, and water features completes the picture. The park, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, has been maintained as a garden monument since the 1960s, and after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the northern bank area could be restored.

We offer a fixed group price that depends on a maximum number of participants. This price includes entry to the respective palace for the group as well as, depending on availability, a personal guided tour, an audio guide tour, or the use of an app via a personal technical device (e.g., smartphone).

If the number of participants exceeds the maximum limit for the program, the group will be divided. Each subgroup will be allocated a specific entry time, and the group price will be calculated accordingly per subgroup. For some palaces, an additional fee is offered for the second entry time slot, up to a certain number of persons. This fee cannot be booked separately.

There is no minimum number of participants for a group booking. Programs can be offered in various languages, including personal tours in German and English, as well as the use of audio guides and tours in the SANSSOUCI app with additional language versions. Further information about the tours and language versions can be found in the current group price list.

If groups are accompanied by a licensed tour guide from the SPSG, a 10% discount is granted on the group package price. This discount does not apply to group bookings with an audio guide. Special openings for groups are possible upon request outside the regular opening hours of the palaces. The price for a special opening consists of the group price, a special opening fee, and, if applicable, additional personnel costs.

All information is subject to availability and changes. Group prices are only valid in conjunction with the General Terms and Conditions for Groups of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin-Brandenburg. All prices mentioned are exempt from VAT according to § 4 No. 20a UStG.

Important notice for school and youth groups
